| What is a collective mark (E.g. in the UK)? Section 49 (1) of the 1994 Trade Marks Act states that a collective mark distinguishes the goods or services of members of an association which the proprietor of the mark from other undertakings. A collective mark identifies the goods or services or members of a collective organization. It may be held by an association of tradesmen, a professional body with a common field of activity or traders from a particular area. |
