| What is conversion in a Community (EU) Trade Mark (CTM) registration? Articles 108-110 of the CTM registration provide that a CTM Registration or Application may be converted into one or more national trade mark applications: the filing date of the CTM application will then be deemed to be the filing date of the national application. When a CTM registration or application is refused or withdrawn, OHIM shall notify the applicant or proprietor fixing the period in which a request for conversion may be filed. Article 108 deals with the request for the application of national procedure. Article 109 deals with the submission, publication and transmission of the request for conversion. Article 110 deals with the formal requirements for conversion. |
