Ask a question...
What is "reasonable care" for patent restoration in the UK?

The proprietor of the patent took reasonable care to see that any
renewal fee was paid within the prescribed period of that that fee
and any prescribed additional fee were paid within the six months
immediately following the end of that period”.

Convex: For example, an individual proprietor who only has one or
two patents to his name may be entitled to rely on the Patent Office
reminder.  However, the same would not be true for a multi-national
company which has many patents on its books where a more
rigorous and comprehensive system would be expected.
