| What is meant by ‘combined search and examination’ in a PCT application? The combined search and examination is relevant in a PCT application an international search is carried out(Article 15(4)) by the International Searching Authority (ISA) to discover relevant prior art. In "Chapter II procedure", international examining authority provides for IPER, i.e. non-binding assessment of patentability. IPER may be used as basis of further examination. |
