Ask a question...
When do I have to pay European Patent renewal fees? Do
they get more expensive over time?

For EP(UK) patents, renewal fees are only due at the UK Patent
office for the fifth and successive years once the application has
been granted (renewal fees being payable annually to the EPO
from the third year until grant).

The value of the patent as an asset increases considerably with
time.
